Temple’s football team picked up a trio of future contributors on Tuesday.

Cornerback/return specialist Mike Jones joined the Owls as a graduate transfer while quarterback Todd Centeio and linebacker Casey Williams are a pair of freshmen added as mid-year enrollees. All three will be eligible for spring practice and the 2017 season for Temple.

Jones, a graduate of North Carolina Central, has one year of eligibility remaining. He recorded 30 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups a season ago. Jones (5-11, 187) also added a 22.0-yard average on punt returns with two touchdowns.

Jones, a native of Baltimore, was named first-team All-MEAC at cornerback and return specialist in 2014 and 2016. He even garnered praise from draft analysts such as ESPN’s Todd McShay, who said Jones “stands out to me as the best” among a list of potential late-round choices.

Centeio, who hails from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. threw for 2,344 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2016 during his senior season at William T. Dwyer High. Centeio (6-0, 205) garnered several awards for his final high school campaign, including first-team Palm Beach Football 8A-6A and Sun Sentinel honors.

Williams is a local product. He played linebacker and running back at South Philadelphia High. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Williams was chosen for the Philadelphia City All-Star Game last season in which he racked up 15 tackles and two rushing TDs.
