Temple football will play two primetime national television games in the upcoming 2015 season, the school announced Wednesday.

The Owls’ Thursday, Oct. 22 game on the road against East Carolina at 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 6 away game against SMU at 8 p.m. will be aired nationally on ESPN2.

If Temple advances to the American Athletic Conference title game on Dec. 5, which would be aired on either ABC or ESPN, the Owls could add another nationally televised game to their 2015 slate.

Times and television schedule for other conference games and nonconference games have yet to be released.

Temple opens its season on Saturday, Sept. 5 against Penn State at Lincoln Financial Field. The Owls will also host Notre Dame on Halloween in a nonconference matchup.

The Owls went 6-6 last year in their second season under head coach Matt Rhule.
