One Team, One City, One Dream

I thought the whole "one" campaign which the Eagles are using as a theme this year was pretty cheesy at first.  But late in the 4th Qtr. yesterday when they ran one of the pieces on the fan-o-vision I thought it was pretty fitting and cool.  Another one of the great pieces they ran on there was the intro music from Superman to Donovan walking out onto the field in slow motion.  It went a little downhill when they tried to use the horrible Three Doors Down or whoever sings that song "you can call me superman."

We took the El down to the stadium and got in the parking lots around 9:30 and it was COLD.  Nice little tail gate spot set up with some huge mounds of snow blocking the wind.  The wind was the killer.  Standard tailgate, but people were amped up for this one, everyone was confident.  I spent about an hour in McFadden's which warmed me up a bit, great crowd in there.

The crowd in the game was like nothing I've ever seen or heard.  I think the loudest it got, other than a few insanely intense third down plays, was when they showed T.O. dancing around on the fan-o-vision and then he started "flapping his wings."  The place went nuts!  After Donovan rushed for 6 yards to get a first down to clinch the game, he got excited and did a couple fist pumps which got the Linc rocking!  BDawk was as intense as ever, he really got the crowd to make some noise every single play.

Couple pictures from yesterday:

I'd like thank the nutty guy in the green EagleHead hat above for hooking me up with a ticket!

So now it's on to the Superbowl!  Good Bill Lyon article today about Finally getting over the hump.  The Patriots are a great team and the Eagles will have their work cut out for them, but as I've been saying for a long time, never doubt our chances when we have number Five running the show.  John Clayton writes a good piece analyzing the strengths of both teams on ESPN today.
