The Sixers made their second D-League assignment of the week, sending rookie Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to the Delaware 87ers on Tuesday.

Luwawu-Cabarrot, the 24th pick in the 2016 draft, had totaled eight points, three rebounds and an assist in seven games this season.

Going to the D-League will give Luwawu-Cabarrot an opportunity for more game action. Playing 4.6 minutes per game, he was averaging the fewest on the Sixers by more than 12.

Last season, Luwawu-Cabarrot posted 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists for KK Mega Leks in Europe.

On Monday, the Sixers assigned veteran point guard Jerryd Bayless to the 87ers as part of his rehabilitation for a left wrist injury.
