Another free-agent addition for the Sixers on Saturday.

The Sixers agreed to a one-year, $11 million deal with power forward Amir Johnson, a source confirmed to CSNPhilly.com's Jessica Camerato. This comes not long after the Sixers agreed to a one-year, $23 million deal with sharpshooter JJ Redick, according to a league source (see story).

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the Johnson deal.

Johnson, 30, has played parts of 12 seasons in the NBA, averaging 7.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game playing for the Pistons, Raptors and Celtics. Selected 56th overall in the 2005 draft, Johnson transformed from a bench piece to a starter. Of his 311 games played the past four seasons (split between Raptors and Celtics), Johnson has started in 297 of them, although he's expected to serve the Sixers as a reserve.

Johnson also brings experience and a growing jumper (see story). He has appeared in 42 postseason games, while last season with Boston, Johnson hit a career-high 27 three-pointers, connecting on 40.9 percent. The 6-foot-9, 240-pounder has averaged 22.3 minutes per game in his career, shooting an effective 57.4 percent from the field and collecting a block per night.
