Cowboys new NFC East favorite; Wentz and Prescott tied for ROY odds

One week makes quite a bit of difference in the NFL, and Week 5 seemed to change the perception of the Eagles and Cowboys.

Dallas, on the strength of a lopsided win over the Bengals, moved ahead of the Eagles in Bovada's NFC East odds. Last week, both teams had 7/4 odds to win the division. But with Dallas now 4-1 and the Eagles 3-1, the Cowboys are 3-to-2 to win the NFC East and the Eagles are still 7-to-4.

The Eagles' Super Bowl odds dropped from 22/1 to 33/1, while Dallas' improved from 22/1 to 18/1. The Cowboys' SB odds are eighth-best in the NFL and the Eagles are 12th, tied with the Colts.

Strong games by Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott also pushed them up the Rookie of the Year odds board. Last week, Elliot was 2/3, Carson Wentz was 9/4 and Prescott was 6/1. Now, Elliott is the clear favorite at 1/2, while Wentz and Prescott are tied at 3/1.

Elliott has met expectations so far behind Dallas' top-tier offensive line, rushing for at least 134 yards in each of his last three games. On the season, he has 546 rushing yards, 5.0 yards per carry and five rushing TDs.

Prescott still hasn't thrown an interception in 155 attempts. He's completed 69 percent of his passes for 1,239 yards with four passing TDs and three rushing TDs. His QB rating is 101.5.

Wentz, who threw his first interception to end the loss in Detroit this past Sunday, has completed 67 percent of his passes for 1,007 yards with seven passing TDs in one fewer game. His QB rating is 103.5.

It's going to be an extremely tight race between all three players for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the deciding factor could be how they play against each other when the Eagles and Cowboys meet on Oct. 30 and Jan. 1.
