Running backs Corey Clement and Donnel Pumphrey have both made the Eagles' initial 53-man roster Saturday (see full roster).

Clement, a Glassboro, New Jersey native, has turned an impressive preseason into a roster spot. Clement ran for 105 yards on 28 carries with two touchdowns in four preseason games. The former Wisconsin Badger went undrafted after a strong senior season. The 5-foot-10, 220-pound back ran for 1,375 and 15 touchdowns in 2016.

Clement outperformed Pumphrey, who averaged just 1.9 yards a carry in preseason action. The fourth-round pick, whom the team traded up to select, was historically productive at San Diego State, rushing for an FBS record 6,405 yards.

It's also important to note that just because Clement and Pumphrey made the initial roster does not mean they'll both begin the season with the Eagles. De facto GM Howie Roseman will be navigating the waiver wire and trade market as more players around the league get cut.
