Flyers Injury Update: Zac Rinaldo day to day

Share

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren announced Monday that Zac Rinaldo, out since Jan. 9 with a high-ankle sprain, had his status upgraded to day to day, which is ahead of his original six-week recovery schedule.

A decision will be made after Tuesday's morning skate on whether Rinaldo will be in the lineup for the team's game that night against the Red Wings at Wells Fargo Center.

In 44 games this season, Rinaldo has a goal and an assist.

Also, a CT scan on Scott Hartnell's left foot came back negative. Hartnell was spotted in a walking boot Sunday at the Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival after missing practice that morning in what was described as a routine maintenance day.

Hartnell had recently blocked a shot with his left foot. The 31-year-old is playing well of late, posting five assists and two goals for seven points over his last seven games.
