Kirsten Karbach is making quite the name for herself as the only female play-by-play announcer in professional baseball.
Now in her second season as the voice of the Clearwater Threshers, the Phillies' Single A affiliate in the Florida State League, Karbach is focused on working her way up the ranks just like the players she covers, not making history.
"I might be the only woman out there but it's not something that I really think about," Karbach said. "I work with a lot of great people and enjoy where I'm at, so it's not something that really crosses my mind all that much. I love what I'm doing and I just want to progress as far as I can in it."
