Tonight's lineup: Bryce Harper sitting for Nationals

The Phillies will face the top offense in the majors this weekend, but they won't have to deal with the Nationals' top slugger tonight.

Rightfielder Bryce Harper isn't in Washington's lineup for the series opener at Citizens Bank Park.

Harper left Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks in the sixth inning with pain in his left groin. The club said the decision was precautionary and listed him as "day to day."

In 86 career games against the Phils, Harper has hit .273 with 18 homers and 49 RBIs. In six games against the Phillies this season, Harper has six hits in 25 at-bats, with three homers and seven RBIs.

Chris Heisley will fill in for Harper in right field.

The Phillies, meanwhile, have slightly altered their lineup from Thursday afternoon. Tommy Joseph and Michael Saunders flipped spots in the order. Joseph will bat fifth Friday, with Saunders batting sixth.
