Tonight's lineup: Chase Utley leads off for Dodgers vs. Phillies

For Phillies fans thinking about staying up late to watch Chase Utley play against his former team for the first time, it's now official — Utley is in the lineup for the Dodgers, leading off. Though Utley, who is hitting .250 on the season with seven homers and 32 RBIs, has just one hit in his last 14 at-bats, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is sticking with the Phillies legend.

On the Phillies' side, Pete Mackanin makes a few tweaks to the lineup that won Sunday's series finale against the Padres (see game recap).

Aaron Altherr, following a 2-for-5 day batting fifth, moves up to second in the order. In 18 at-bats hitting second this season, Altherr has five knocks. His numbers are identical when he hits fifth.

Odubel Herrera, who went 3 for 5 and blasted his 12th homer of the season from the two-hole on Sunday, will hit sixth. Herrera has 405 of his 414 at-bats this year in the top three of the lineup.

The Phillies are looking for any offense they can get out of their leftfielder. On Monday night, that means Mackanin opted for right-handed Tyler Goeddel over Cody Asche. Since July, Goeddel has five hits in 44 at-bats. Asche hasn't been doing much better; following a 1-for-7 series against the Padres, Asche is 12 for 87 in July and August. His average is down to .212, a steep drop from his season-high .291 mark on July 1.

The final lineup change sees Tommy Joseph replace Ryan Howard against the Dodgers' rookie lefty Julio Urias, an exciting prospect (see game notes).
