While the rest of his teammates are away relaxing, Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams is the lone representative for the franchise in New Orleans for All-Star weekend.

Carter-Williams took part in the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night. He scored 17 points, handed out nine assists and grabbed six rebounds for Team Webber in a 142-136 loss to Team Hill.

The rookie flashed the same all-around game that Sixers fans have come to expect every night. While he knows there is still plenty of work to do, Carter-Williams is just enjoying his first NBA season.

"It's definitely been a long transition. I just try to go out there and play hard each and every game and hope for the best," MCW said prior to tipoff. "Things have gone my way a lot. I'm just having fun and living the dream.

Carter-Williams' All-Star experience isn't over. He'll also compete in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge on Saturday night.

Detroit's Andre Drummond took home the MVP award on Friday with 30 points and a game-record 25 rebounds.
