Photo: Phillies Jumped By the Marlins Yet Again

Omar Infante and the Miami Marlins Superfly Snooka'd the Phillies this weekend down in Florida with the Fish sweeping the three-game series and helping Philadelphia dig their basement-dwelling home in the NL East just a little bit deeper.

Despite being nine games under .500 for the first time since 2006 and currently 11 games back in the NL East, the Phillies players aren't packing it in just yet. They're still trying to say the right things at least.

Per Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki, you know Roy Halladay isn't rolling over just yet.

“It’s up to us. It really is," Halladay said after Sunday's loss. "We can tuck our tails or we can fight.
There’s a chance we fight and still come up short, but I’d rather do it
that way than admit defeat halfway through the year. I think we’ve got a
long ways to go. Getting Chase (Utley) back, Howie’s (Ryan Howard)
coming back, I feel like I can pitch better. We’ve got a lot of things
that can improve that I think we’re looking forward to in the second
half. I believe we have the mentality that we’re going to go out and
play hard. If we come up short we come up short, but I don’t think it’s
going to be due to a lack of effort or a lack of interest. I feel like
we have a chance and we’re going to go out and play that way.”

The Phillies seem to believe they can fight back in the second half, but do you? The next six games before the All-Star break will be huge. The Phils do not play tomorrow.
