President Obama to Throw Out First Pitch in DC for Opening Day

Share

If you're planning on heading to DC for opening day next Monday, you'll get a chance to see if Barack Obama's pitching skills are better than his bowling skills. The Associated Press notes that Monday marks a unique anniversary, "The team says Monday it will mark the 100th anniversary of the first
time a president tossed an opening day first pitch — William Howard Taft
did it on April 14, 1910."

I think it's safe to say that Obama, a ChiSox fan at heart, isn't a huge Nats fan, this being his first ever appearance at Nationals Park. You may recall, however, that he's met with the Phillies in the past (and hopefully will again in the near future, say around November).
