Reasons to Watch the 2012 MLB All-Star Game: Hamels to Chooch

Share

Cole Hamels will pitch to Carlos Ruiz this evening in the 2012 MLB All-Star Game.

I'm not all that interested in the Midsummer Classic this season. In part because the Phillies have the most miniscule of chances of hosting a World Series come October, but mostly because baseball has depressed us this summer. Alas, Chooch and Cole are two of the brightest things the Phils have going for them lately, so I'll be tuning in to support the lovable batterymates.

Plus, we don't really know how much longer we'll be able to call Cole our own. Enjoy every sandwich.

Hamels to Chooch is set to flash some signs and unleash the cutters in the sixth inning, according to Matt Gelb who is out there enjoying the local BBQ in K.C.

Ruiz is supposed to handle R.A. Dickey's knuckleball the evening prior. So maybe tune in around 10:15?

Papelbon will be out in the bullpen in case any unruly Kansas City fans try to hop the fence. What's with those heathens in K.C.? Did you see them boo that poor Yankee last night?

All-Star baseball tonight on FOX. It'll probably get underway sometime before midnight.
