Sixers to Have Wilt, Dr. J, and Iverson Bobblehead Giveaways in March

Sixers to Have Wilt, Dr. J, and Iverson Bobblehead Giveaways in March

You'll likely see a few more butts in the seats at the Wells Fargo Center come March. And that's not just because there's a chance Andrew Bynum could be suiting up for your Philadelphia 76ers, there will also be a trio of stellar bobblehead giveaways.

From the Sixers:

The schedule is highlighted by three bobblehead nights in March, featuring a Wilt Chamberlain bobblehead
on Saturday, March 2 when they host the Golden State Warriors at 7:00 p.m., courtesy of Comcast SportsNet; a Julius “Dr. J” Erving bobblehead on Saturday, March 16 when they host the Indiana Pacers at 7:30 p.m., courtesy of Toyota; and an Allen
Iverson bobblehead on Saturday, March 30 when they host the Charlotte Bobcats at 7:30 p.m., courtesy of Reebok. The March 2nd Wilt Chamberlain night is the 51st anniversary of the historic occasion of Wilt scoring 100 points against
the New York Knicks, March 2nd, 1962. Julius Erving will be
in attendance at the March 16 game and will deliver the game ball to the
officials to start off the evening.

Wilt, Doc, and A.I. -- can't get a whole lot better than that trio.

Plan accordingly, bobble junkies.

All-Star sidelined for Sixers' game vs. Bucks

CAMDEN, N.J. -- The first matchup between the oversized point guards will have to wait.

Ben Simmons will not face off against Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is sidelined because of soreness in his right knee, in the Sixers' Saturday evening game against the Bucks. Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game this season.

That’s not the only absence.

Jerryd Bayless, who had started in place of JJ Redick (leg), is out with a sore left wrist. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot gets the nod at shooting guard.

“It’s another opportunity to show up and make some shots and prove that I can do that,” Luwawu-Cabarrot said at shootaround, also noting he has to play tough defense on Eric Bledsoe (17.7 points per game).

Reigning Rookie of the Year Malcolm Brogdon will also miss the game because of a personal matter, per the Journal Sentinel. Brogdon beat out Joel Embiid and Dario Saric for the award last season.

Markelle Fultz (right shoulder) remains out. He worked on free throws, driving drills, and knocked down a jumper in the portion of shootaround available to the media.
