Soul romp Valor to clinch home field advantage, win 15th straight at home

After seeing their 17-game winning streak come to an end last week in Baltimore, the Soul on Saturday night got themselves back in the win column with in convincing fashion.

The Soul downed the Washington Valor, 68-41, at the Wells Fargo Center to improve to 11-1. The Valor fall to 1-10. The Soul have swept the Valor in their season series.

With the win, the Soul have now won 15 straight contests at home and clinched home field throughout the playoffs. They'll host ArenaBowl XXX if they make it to the title game.

"Both sides of the ball playing strong tonight," Soul coach Clint Dolezel said. "Now, we can rest up during the bye week and prepare for the final stretch of the regular season."

Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh threw for 330 yards and nine touchdowns against the Valor on Saturday night, completing 26 of his 30 passes. Ten of those completions went to wide receiver Shaun Kauleinamoku, who had 126 yards and four TDs.

Ryan McDaniel pitched in with eight catches for 79 yards and a TD, while Darius Reynolds had six grabs for 111 yards and two TDs.

The Soul are off next week for their final bye of the season. They'll return to action on July 29 in Baltimore. They are 2-1 against the Brigade this season.
