Ben McAdoo interviews for Eagles' head coaching job

The Eagles have completed their fourth official interview for a head coach.

The team announced Thursday that it interviewed Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.

McAdoo, 38, became the fourth candidate to interview for the job after Duce Staley, Pat Shurmur and Adam Gase. McAdoo is the second candidate from outside the organization to get an interview.

McAdoo just finished his second season as the Giants' offensive coordinator and has already interviewed for the Giants' vacant head coaching gig.

Before he worked for the Giants, McAdoo spent 2006 to 2013 with the Green Bay Packers. He was their quarterbacks coach from 2012-13. His first NFL job came with the Saints in 2004.

While McAdoo is the latest to interview, it doesn't seem like he'll be the last. According to reports, the Eagles still plan on interviewing Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther, Bucs offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter and Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson (see story).

The Eagles job has been open since Dec. 29, when Jeff Lurie fired former coach Chip Kelly after less than three seasons on the job.
