Bryzgalov picks great seat at Flyers game

If you ever need a good laugh, just scroll through Ilya Bryzgalov's Twitter account.

It is wildly entertaining.

The former Flyers goalie is a gem among the Twittersphere, just as much as he was during an in-person interview.

He's also shown that he likes to take in a Flyers game from time to time, sitting among the fans at the Wells Fargo Center.

Thursday night looks like it was one of those times and, remarkably, it appears Bryzgalov sat directly behind one of his fans. He tweeted out this photo to prove it.

Hopefully this spectator knew the legend Bryzgalov was enjoying the game right behind him. You'd think the two enjoyed a laugh and Bryzgalov provided a signature.

On a complete side note, check out Bryzgalov's last two tweets prior to Thursday night.

Oh, Bryz.

Everyone's favorite former Flyers goalie took a shot at the Penguins earlier this week when he tweeted this out while the Capitals were wrapping up a convincing Game 6 win to force a decisive Game 7.

Mr. Ilya Bryzgalov was clearly not giving the Penguins a chance in Game 7 on the road.

Well, what do you know, Pittsburgh blanks Washington, 2-0, on Wednesday night to hand the Capitals another early playoff exit while advancing to the Eastern Conference finals.

So Evgeni Malkin, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, took to Twitter and made Bryzgalov eat crow.

Big time.

Knowing Bryz, he may actually take him up on this and attend. But the responses to Malkin's tweet are pretty darn funny.

Well played, Malkin.

Bryz, keep up the work on Twitter — it's always appreciated.

The last time the Flyers were in an outdoor game, Ilya Bryzgalov was drinking from a thermos on the bench while Sergei Bobrovsky started against the Rangers five years ago.

Fast forward to Saturday night. Bryzgalov is out of the NHL, Bobrovsky has himself in the conversation for his second Vezina Trophy in Columbus, and the Flyers face off against the  Penguins at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh in a Stadium Series game … weather permitting.

The weather is expected to cooperate tonight, though. The forecast called for rain today and temperatures in the 50s, but it hasn't rained much. The temperature is expected to drop into the 40s and 30s, and may even hit a lot of 28, according to

Don't tell Bryzgalov that. "Bryz" took to Twitter to offer advice for Flyers and Penguins fans attending the Stadium Series match tonight.

You don't need no stinkin' thermos.
