Dez Bryant released by Cowboys, says it's now personal

Just like another former Dallas Cowboy WR once said, better get your popcorn ready.

It was announced earlier today that the Cowboys will part ways with longtime WR Dez Bryant, who joined the team in 2010 and has been named to three Pro Bowls.

There seems to be some bad blood between the two sides, too.

Bryant made it clear, though, that it’s all love for the fans.

So, where’s Bryant headed? Somewhere in the NFC East, perhaps?

Bryant even fueled these rumors with a share from his personal account.

Bryant has been one of the better WRs in the NFL over the last decade, pulling in 531 receptions for nearly 7,500 yards and 73 touchdowns. While his numbers were a little lower last season from his career bests, there will probably be several suitors for Bryant’s services as he becomes a free agent.

The story has caught the attention of a lot of the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

It’s also interesting to note that the Cowboys have a lot of money tied up in players who will not play for them this season.

It’s only April 13, so this story is far from over. We may need another bag of popcorn.
