The Eagles narrowly escaped Washington's lair with a victory on Sunday, though the battle for good and evil took a turn for the worse in the first quarter.
Coach Doug Pederson led Carson Wentz and Nelson Agholor right into a trap with a poorly designed trick play early in the contest – granted the effort of one of Wentz's sidekicks left a lot to be desired. Apparently under some sort of enemy mind control, Torrey Smith became powerless to pick up a loose football, though he had no trouble watching and following behind for five yards.
We can only imagine what everybody was thinking, but it was probably something like this.
