Exciting new food items at Phillies games this year

Move over peanuts and Cracker Jacks, there’s some new ballpark food in town.

Today, Aramark, the beverage and food partner of the Phillies, announced a whole host of new food items that will be available this season across their portfolio of eight MLB teams. Among the list were four new items at Citizens Bank Park.

Jane Dough Cookie Dough
Available at Minute Maid Park, Rogers Centre and Citizens Bank Park this season will be gourmet, safe-to-eat, flavored cookie dough that is sure to be the subject of many Instagram posts throughout the year. While the information was posted today in their press release, this was posted last September, indicating the cookie dough stand will be in section 110.

Smoked Brisket Taco Trio

A non-traditional ballpark snack, this taco trio will include house-smoked brisket topped with jalapenos, cilantro crema, queso fresco and sliced radishes, in corn tortillas.

Crispy Chicken Sandwich

Fried chicken topped with tomato bacon jam, roasted shaved Brussels sprouts and Vermont white cheddar cheese, on a brioche bun.

Vegan Cauliflower Cheesesteak

Roasted cauliflower, poblano peppers, onions, vegan cheese sauce and vegan roll.

In addition to the new food items, in-seat vendors will also accept credit cards, in addition to cash. Just make sure you know everyone in your row so you feel comfortable passing your credit card down the line of 10 strangers.

Will you try any of these new items?

Newest Eagle rocks fabulous furry Gucci sneakers

Newest Eagle rocks fabulous furry Gucci sneakers

Daryl Worley was introduced to Philadelphia on Monday at a press conference at the NovaCare Complex and he showed up in style.

The newest member of the Eagles linebacking crew was rocking some high fashion Gucci sneakers with a little bit of a ... hairy accent. You can own your very own pair for a cool $830.

If you're curious on what to wear these sneaks with, Net-a-porter has you covered:

When Alessandro Michele stepped in as Gucci's Creative Director in Fall '15, his shearling-lined shoes were part of the movement that ushered in a new relaxed era for the label - these 'Ace' sneakers are a cool, sporty take on the now iconic style. Made in Italy from pristine white leather, they have the instantly recognizable navy and red webbing that's embroidered with a gold bee, representing abundance, love and community. Wear them with cuffed denim or a midi dress.

It may not surprise you at all that a guy with this kind of flair had a somewhat curious answer when asked who his favorite Eagle of all-time was.

His answer? Terrell Owens. [insert thinking-face emoji]

Carson Wentz bouncing around on road to recovery

Carson Wentz bouncing around on road to recovery

Not only did the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl last month, but their fans were also treated to an encouraging site on Monday morning: Carson Wentz throwing a football.

Wentz shared some video to his Instagram story in which you can see him throwing a football from multiple angles while wearing a brace on his knee.

Back in January before the Super Bowl, the Eagles quarterback revealed that the knee injury he suffered in December was worse than originally thought. He tore his left LCL in addition to his ACL but he said then that he hoped to be back for Week 1.

"My goal is to be ready for Week 1," Wentz said. "I'm going to push and do everything I can to be ready. And I'm very confident in that."

"I'm feeling confident with it and I said it in the video I posted right after the injury — I 100 percent believe I'll be back better than ever, stronger than ever, with no looking back."

No reason to believe any of that has changed over the last month and a half and it sure looks like he's progressing.
