Embiid makes Whiteside look silly on the court and then on social media

Joel Embiid and Hassan Whiteside aren't meant to be friends.

Last season, an apparent rivalry started brewing when Whiteside implied that Embiid shouldn't be getting All-Star consideration, and Embiid fired back (see story).

The two centers were back at it again during and after Friday night's preseason finale.

After drawing three fouls early in the first quarter on the Heat big man, Embiid made sure to tell the Miami bench to get Whiteside out of the game (see video).

And though Embiid, who sat out the second half, only scored five points and grabbed seven rebounds in 15 minutes of a 119-95 Sixers' win (see observations), he was still in a trash-talking mood after the game.

First, Whiteside responded to a fan who called out Embiid's subpar shooting numbers (1 for 7).

Then Embiid, as he tends to do, went on the attack.

Still boiling, Embiid then fired off another tweet, again using #Softy to describe the 7-foot, 265-pound Whiteside.

For the record, Whiteside's plus/minus was minus-9. Embiid's was plus-13.

Embiid then wrapped up his trash-talking storm with a likely dig at Kevin Durant and, of course, a shoutout to "the process."

Whiteside thought he had the final word with one last tweet.

Until Embiid ended things with a special description of his location on Instagram.

Maeanwhile, Ben Simmons seemed amused by the whole ordeal just like the rest of us.

Former Sixer Andre Iguodala also enjoyed the banter, with a nod to Embiid.

It's going to be a lot of fun to watch two of the best young centers in the NBA battle, both on the court and online, over the next decade-plus. Too bad we have to wait until Feb. 2 to see them share the floor again.

Nerlens Noel and Kevin Hart take a bath, make fun of Joel Embiid

Sixers fan Kevin Hart has a new-ish YouTube show he's calling "Cold As Balls." The premise is pretty simple: he and a guest take an ice bath and chill.

Previous guests have included Draymond Green, Blake Griffin, LaVar Ball, and Candace Parker

Hart just so happens to have former Sixer and current Dallas Maverick Nerlens Noel on as his guest this week.

Aside from making fun of the locker room in Philly, Hart also takes a jab at Joel Embiid. Hart does a decent-enough Embiid impression with a "Trust the Process" but he also mocks the way Embiid speaks. Not cool.

Look for that around the six-minute mark.

Noel also says Dirk Nowitzki is just as funny as Hart. I'd believe it.

Eagles fans donate to Minnesota charity and receive a historic gift

What goes around comes around, at least for some charitable Eagles fans.

Some good karma has found its way to particular Eagles fans, courtesy of the Minnesota Vikings Foundation. Fans who donated to head coach Mike Zimmer’s foundation to apologize for some of Philadelphia’s rowdy behavior before, during and after the NFC Championship Game have received a special memento from U.S. Bank Stadium.

Eagles fans were gifted a jar of the historic confetti that streamed down onto the newly-crowned Super Bowl Champions at the Vikings’ home field on Feb. 4 and a thank you note acknowledging their contribution to the organization.

Check out Reddit user EYEsoar’s photo for proof.

While it may not be enough for fans to perform their own Jalen Mills-style confetti angels, these generous Eagles fans will hold a piece of Philadelphia history.

The donation from Eagles fans now total more than $18,000 as of Jan. 26, according to the ZimFoundation Twitter page and we can only imagine this total will grow.

It pays to be nice.
