Tuesday is a big day for Philadelphia Phillies fans. We'll finally get a glimpse of highly-touted shortstop J.P. Crawford in a Phillies uniform.
It's one of the few moments fans have been looking forward to in an otherwise bleak season.
It's obviously a big day for his friends and family as well.
J.P.'s older sister Eliza posted an emotional message to her Twitter account talking about what it means to her and the family.
Eliza talks about how a 3-year-old J.P. would cry when he couldn't play in her tee-ball games but also how they grew up bonding over playing catch.
"I swear from the time I seen him hit and throw a ball I knew my parents gave birth to a future star and I was going to have a brother with the potential of playin in the MLB," she wrote.
"This guy really worked his butt off to make his dreams become a reality."
J.P. will take the next step in making more dreams become a reality tonight as he suits up for the Phils as they take on the New York Mets. No word just yet on whether he'll get the start.
