Joshua Farris, Jason Brown and Shotaro Omori finished 1-2-3 at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships on Saturday, giving the Americans their first sweep of the men's podium.
It's the second title for the Americans at junior worlds, following the pairs gold won by Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier, and gives them five of the nine medals decided so far. There could be more to come, too. The women's free skate is later Saturday, and Samantha Cesario and Courtney Hicks were 1-3 in the short program.
The U.S. women have swept the podium twice at junior worlds, in 2008 and 2007. But the best the men had done was a 1-2-4 finish in 1987.
This one wasn't even close, with Jin Boyang of China finishing almost 12 points behind Omori.
