No one is really sure how far Harbor Park in Norfolk, Virginia is from Bikini Bottom, but on Friday, August 7th, the two places will converge, as the Norfolk Tides will be holding SpongeBob SquarePants Night.
According to the Tides' website, the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate will "be wearing one-of-a-kind SpongeBob SquarePants themed jerseys" when they take the field against Pittsburgh's Triple-A affiliate Indianapolis Indians. The team will also have a silent auction during the game for the jerseys, which winning fans will be able to take home immediately after the 9th inning (the proceeds will go to the United Way of South Hampton Roads).
Here is a photo of the uniforms that will be worn on SpongeBob Night, which look so good, even Squidward can't deny their beauty:

"The Norfolk Tides are excited to be involved with Nickelodeon and are elated to be the first Minor League Baseball Club to wear these unique and fun SpongeBob SquarePants jerseys," said Joe Gregory, the team's general manager. Every single 90s kid is excited about the jerseys too, Joe.
For fans of the show, which started in 1999 and ran for nine seasons, August 7th can't come soon enough. The cartoon developed a massive following while airing on Nickelodeon, which means the Tides could end up making a lump some of cash -- one that would make Mr. Krabs jealous -- from the promotion.
When asked for his opinion on the jerseys, SpongeBob's pet snail Gary said, "Meow." No word on whether the team plans to sell Krabby Patties in the stands during the game.
