OAKLAND, Calif. – Here are five Ravens who will be in the spotlight Sunday against the Raiders 4:05 p.m. Eastern, at O.co Coliseum:
- Jason Babin, outside linebacker
Babin is expected to make his Ravens debut, despite just three practices since being signed as a free agent. This will be the Ravens’ first game since losing Terrell Suggs (Achilles injury) for the season. Babin may play limited snaps, but he’ll have just one assignment - get to the Raiders’ quarterback.
- Joe Flacco, quarterback
Flacco started the season with a stinker in Denver - his lowest quarterback rating in a game (38.2) since 2011. The Ravens need a bounce-back performance from their franchise quarterback.
- James Hurst, left tackle
With Eugene Monroe (concussion) out, Hurst will be protecting Flacco’s blindside. Hurst struggled with speed rushes against the Broncos, and Flacco was hit 17 times. If Hurst doesn’t play well, Flacco could have another painful day.
- Steve Smith, wide receiver
Smith had two catches for 13 yards in Week 1. While the Ravens want their younger receivers to step up, it’s Smith’s job to lead the way.
- Marc Trestman, offensive coordinator
The Ravens are still looking for their first offensive touchdown, and they didn’t throw deep often enough in Week 1. Trestman has been thinking about that all week. We’ll see if his adjustments bring more success.
