Chuck Pagano and Tom Zbikowski might have left Baltimore, but that doesnt mean they forgot how to hate the Steelers.
Pagano, the former Ravens defensive coordinator, is now the head coach of the Colts. Zbikowski followed Pagano to Indianapolis as a free agent this offseason.
Working out at a Colts practice the other day, Zbikowski spotted a fan wearing a Steelers jersey. That wont cut it, apparently, in Indianapolis any more than in Baltimore.
Pagano said that Zbikowski noted the infraction and said, Look Coach, we got to do something about that.
What they did, in fact, was give the fan, 24-year-old Zach Simmons, a new Andrew Luck jersey -- and an ultimatum:
Look, you've got to put this jersey on, Pagano told Simmons. If you do it, you get to stay, if not we've got to escort you out of here.
The fan, 24-year-old Zach Simmons, said the Steelers jersey was to grab the attention of former Steelers Mewelde Moore and offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, both formerly with the Steelers. Instead, he got the attention of a couple of former Ravens and tried-and-true Steeler haters.
I am still kind of in shock, Simmons said, but it was pretty cool for my buddies I came with.
