After Sunday’s off day, the Ravens return to practice Monday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Here’s the buzz surrounding the Ravens, as they come off an ugly preseason loss and look forward to Saturday night’s home preseason game against the Redskins:
- Return to normal
After spending most of last week in Philadelphia, and three joint practices with the Eagles, the Ravens are glad to be home. But linebacker C. J. Mosley wants to see more intensity this week, preparing for the third preseason game, where starters see the most action.
“It was different, staying in the hotel for four days and practicing with another team in a different environment,” Mosley said. “You have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. You have to prepare better for the game. We’re grown men out here and we can’t make excuses.”
The offensive line is banged up, with left tackle Eugene Monroe, right tackle James Hurst, and backup lineman De’Ondre Wesley all leaving Saturday’s 40-17 preseason loss to the Eagles. Wide receiver Breshad Perriman (knee) hasn’t practiced all month, and cornerback Lardarius Webb (hamstring) didn’t practice last week. As we get closer to the regular season, the Ravens hope to get healthier.
The Ravens had far too many penalties against the Eagles -- 17 for 139 yards. That is something the Ravens will look to clean up this week.
