Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro tweeted Monday that he would overcome a knee injury suffered during Saturday night’s game in Philadelphia. However, if Taliaferro were to miss significant time, rookie Buck Allen would become the No. 2 back behind Justin Forsett, with either Terrence Magee or Fitz Toussaint more likely to make the roster as the third running back.
Taliaferro was injured on the play that saw Joe Flacco throw the first of his two interceptions. Taliaferro did not return, and posted this message Monday on Twitter.

A fourth-round pick in 2014, Taliaferro had 268 carries and four touchdowns on 68 carries as a rookie. He reported to training camp lighter and quicker, determined to play a bigger role and to hold off the challenge of Allen, a fourth-round pick this year from USC.
With coach John Harbaugh scheduled to address the media following Monday’s 1 p.m. practice, the Ravens may announce shortly how long they expect Taliaferro to be out.
