OWINGS MILLS - After a day off, the Ravens return to the practice field Wednesday morning at 8:30 for their sixth practice of training camp. Here’s what to watch for:
1. Will any injured players return?
WR Breshad Perriman (knee), OLB Elvis Dumevil (Achilles tendonitis), WR Marlon Brown (back), CB Rashaan Melvin (hamstring), and CB Tray Walker (hamstring) all missed Monday’s practice at M&T Bank Stadium. Who’s coming back, if any of them?
2. Will vets on the bubble step up?
Two players who can’t be certain of making the roster are linebacker Arthur Brown and cornerback Asa Jackson. Can they do something this week to improve their stock this week?
3. Which wide receivers will build on last week's strong play?
Plenty of wide receivers are practicing well, including Kamar Aiken, Jeremy Butler, and Darren Waller. It’s going to be tough for the coaches to make final cuts at this position. Will we start to see any separation this week?
4. Which safeties will step up in Matt Elam’s absence?
With Elam (biceps) done for the season, Will Hill looks like the starter at strong safety. Coach John Harbaugh said the Ravens did not plan to sign another safety. So the role to backup Hill will continue this week, featuring a competitive battle among Anthony Levine, Nick Perry, and Brynden Trawick.
