OWINGS MILLS — As if the Ravens did not have enough issues, quarterback Joe Flacco was not at practice Wednesday during the session open to reporters. No reason was immediately given by the Ravens for Flacco’s absence. Coach John Harbaugh would address the media after practice.
If Flacco was out due to injury or illness that threatened his availabllity for Week 7 against the Jets, it would add to the growing list of concerns for a 3-3 Ravens team riding a three-game losing streak. Flacco played the entire game during Sunday’s 27-23 loss to the Giants, but he has taken a physical pounding this season, playing behind an injury-plagued Ravens offensive line. If Flacco can't play Sunday against the Jets (1-5), backup quarterback Ryan Mallett would see his first action of the season.

A host of other Ravens were not at practice Wednesday – right guard Marshal Yanda, wide receiver Steve Smith Sr., linebackers C. J. Mosley, Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil; cornerbacks Shareece Wright and Jerraud Powers, and returner Devin Hester.
On a positive note, left tackle Ronnie Stanley (foot), right tackle Rick Wagner (thigh) and cornerback Jimmy Smith (concussion) were all at practice Wednesday. Smith was wearing a non-contact jersey, as were wide receivers Breshad Perriman and Mike Wallace.
