Ravens defensive lineman Carl Davis surprised his mother by buying her a new BMW, which was thoughtful enough. However, Davis made the moment more special with his presentation.
He drove the new car into a church parking lot Sunday while his mother was inside. Davis’ mother, Ovella Andreas, is a pastor in the Detroit area, very active in her community. Davis said his mother didn’t even know he was in town, let alone buying her a new vehicle.
When Davis’ mother left the church still dressed in her robe, she saw her son, as well as the new car with a bow on top. To say she was happy would be an understatement. Tears flowed. Watch her reaction on Instagram to appreciate it fully.https://www.instagram.com/p/BHJP8tbjiAD/
A third-round pick in 2015, Davis played in 13 games as a rookie, started three, and had 11 tackles. The Ravens are hoping Davis becomes a bigger factor next season in their defensive tackle rotation supporting Brandon Williams and Timmy Jernigan.
One thing is certain. While Davis is toiling through training camp in a few weeks, his mother will be riding in style.
