It was already announced that the Washington Capitals will rock the blue in their upcoming Stadium Series game. Before the game, John Carlson will take the ‘Rock the Blue’ mantra one step further with his pregame outfit.
The entire suit is inspired by the Navy football program, featuring play designs on the inner lining of the jacket. There will also be two gold stripes on each shoulder, similar to the Navy Midshipmen’s home uniform, and the defensemen’s number on the right arm.
Completing the outfit is a standard gold and blue diagonal striped tie and gold slacks.

The Stadium Series contest between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Capitals will be on March 3 at 8:00 pm. Played in the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, it will be the first outdoor game at a service academy.
This will not be likely the only stylish apparel worn on Saturday. Goalkeeper Phillip Grubauer uploaded this to his Instagram story on Wednesday.
