COLLEGE PARK -- Reports came Tuesday that, in the wake of Maryland's 45-6 loss to West Virginia on Saturday, the team held a players-only meeting that included speeches from members of Maryland's leadership council, Brad Craddock, Wes Brown, and Caleb Rowe.
Maryland had a players only meeting before this morning's practice at 6:45. Leadership council guys (Craddock, W. Brown, Rowe) spoke.

Shortly after the player media availability at which that was revealed by freshman tight end Avery Edwards and Craddock, head coach Randy Edsall joined the weekly Big Ten media conference call, apparently with no knowledge that the meeting had taken place.
Maryland coach Randy Edsall asked about reports of players-only meeting: "that’s news to me. I don’t think we had a players only meeting."

Now, players-only meetings are not uncommon, especially after a loss like the one Maryland suffered at the hands of West Virginia. The part of this story that seems to have gained traction is the fact that Edsall says he was not aware of the meeting.
