Maryland sophomore guard Melo Trimble has been named one of the 20 players still in consideration for the John R. Wooden Award, given to the top player in college basketball.

He is averaging 14.4 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game. Year-over-year, he has come close to doubling his assists per game while his turnover have stayed even.
