Three Maryland Terrapins have been named to preseason national watch lists in advance of the 2015-16 season, the program announced on Tuesday.

Melo Trimble | Sophomore | Point guard | Bob Cousy Award
For the second time in two college seasons, Trimble finds himself on the Cousy watch list. Will he be able to take the next step as a "traditional" point guard, meaning as distributor? With the weapons around him, the trust may more readily be there and we could see it happen.
Jake Layman | Senior | Small forward | Julius Erving Award
Layman shifts back to his natural position at the three after playing power forward for much of the 2014-15 season. The Julius Erving Award is given to the nation's top small forward. For Layman, this season will be a test of his assertiveness. With so many other talented players in this lineup, does he shift to the foreground and lead or will he do what has happened in previous seasons when he settles into the passenger seat?
Rasheed Sulaimon | Senior | Shooting guard | Jerry West Award
Sulaimon transferred to Maryland after leaving the Duke program mid-season. He is the final piece (on paper) for head coach Mark Turgeon. He can handle the ball, which gives Maryland more flexibility, but he will also be challenged by the staff on most nights to defend the opponent's best offensive player on the perimeter.
