Virginia earned a berth to the 2017 NCAA Tournament and received a date with potential Cinderella pick UNC Wilmington in a first-round game in the west region.
UNC Wilmington finished 29-5 overall and enters March Madness having won seven consecutive games.Virginia is one of the toughest teams to figure out, but their slow pace and lack of explosive scoring make their brand of basketball quite difficult to inject into a tournament setting.
Virginia has bowed out of the tournament earlier than expected in the past few seasons, and the Cavaliers were not handed any favors with the volatile Seahawks.
Virginia and UNC Wilimington will match up on Thursday in Orlando, Fla.
