Uegenie Bouchard, the No. 5 ranked women's tennis player in the world, lost to Camila Giorgi in the first round of the Citi Open in Washington, DC on Tuesday, 7-4. 6-4.
But that wasn't the most stunning thing about what took place.
A reporter at the tournament asked her about the ever-popular feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift, and Bouchard provided a rather entertaining response:
"Oh my god, that's so funny. I was just reading the Snapchat thing about it before coming in here. This is probably like the hardest question all day. I love Taylor Swift and I went to her concert and like I love her songs and everything. But I feel like sometimes she portrays herself as the victim a lot, and she did this time around. She said that she wasn't aware of that specific line, that B–.
But she heard like the other line about having sex, so I was like: 'Really? What's like the huge difference?' You know what I mean? You approved the thing where Kanye says he'll ''have sex with you, but you didn't hear, like, the time he said 'B–.' Like, c'mon. Like it's all the same thing to me, so I think she just way overreacted. I think she just tried to get attention by saying she didn't approve of that. But it's the celeb world and it's just entertaining. It entertains me while I'm here alone in D.C.
Despite Bouchard's performance on Tuesday, she is "just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake it off"
