Redskins 2017 NFL Schedule Week 10 vs. Vikings: Date, Time, TV Channel, Live Stream, How to Watch and Betting Odds

After stumbling against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8, the Washington Redskins pulled off an impressive comeback win against the Seattle Seahawks last week.

Despite trailing 14-10 with only 1:34 left in the fourth quarter, quarterback Kirk Cousins was able to lead the Redskins offense all the way down to the Seahawks' one-yard line.

From there it was easy pickings for running back Rob Kelley, who was able to run the ball into the endzone for the game-winning touchdown.

With the Vikings coming to town, the shorthanded Redskins are in for a tough matchup against one of the league's top defenses.

Everyone got really emotional after Chris Thompson's terrible leg injury

Chris Thompson's play had been probably the brightest spot of the Redskins' 2017 season, one that through 11 weeks had been made up largely of injuries and frustrating inconsistency.

But then, probably the worst-case scenario played out for Washington in their matchup with the Saints, as the star running back was carted off the field in an air cast after having his knee rolled up on on a Kirk Cousins scramble.

In addition to the fact that Thompson is having a sensational year, he's also regarded as the nicest, friendliest guy on the Burgundy. Those two factors made watching him leave in tears really hard, and it caused a lot of people to get pretty emotional.

Plenty of folks, from teammates to former teammates and others with ties to the NFL, tweeted about the injury after it happened. Here's a sampling:

Chris Thompson carted off field with leg injury, season could be done

NEW ORLEANS —The sad scene played out midway through the third quarter as Redskins running back Chris Thompson got carted off the Superdome field.

Thompson appeared to get rolled up on from behind by a Saints defender at the end of a Kirk Cousins run.

The injury looked bad in real time, and much worse on subsequent replays.

Most Washington players stood around Thompson as he got placed on the cart and the medical staff deployed a brace onto his lower right leg.

Thompson has been Washington's best offensive player this season.

Through nine games, he has accumulated more than 750 total yards and five touchdowns. Thompson leads the NFL in receiving yards by a running back.

Injuries have been hitting the Redskins hard this season, and it seems Thompson will miss significant time. FOX analyst Troy Aikman wondered if Thompson's season was all but over.
