Sky edge Mystics with last-second layup

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) -- Sylvia Fowles capped a late Chicago rally with a game-winning layup as the Sky claimed a 65-63 WNBA victory over the Washington Mystics on Friday night. With 1.8 seconds left in regulation, Swin Cash launched a successful inbounds pass to Fowles, who turned around under the basket and put in the winning basket. Fowles, the Eastern Conference player of the month for May, closed with 19 points and a season-high 16 rebounds for Chicago (3-1). Teammate Epiphanny Prince scored a career-high 31 points, including 13 in the final 1:44 as Chicago rallied from an eight-point deficit. Washington (1-3) was paced by Monique Currie's 15 points and 12 from Crystal Langhorne.

Max Scherzer Giving Away Memorabilia For Good Cause

By Ryan Wormeli

Max Scherzer is the ace of the Nationals staff, a fan favorite, and the 2017 National League Cy Young award winner. He's also a soon-to-be father whose wife, Erica May-Scherzer, once accidentally threw out the jersey he wore when throwing his 2nd career no-hitter. This time around, I'm guessing they talked it over first before deciding to sell some of his memorabilia garage-style for a new fundraiser.

We don't have any more information about the fundraiser yet, but May-Scherzer posted some photos on Twitter this afternoon.

And in case you're wondering, no, the Scherzer family cat featured in one of the pictures isn't for sale (we assume). Plus, even if they were willing to part with their cat, considering Scherzer is on a contract worth over $200 Million, their price would probably be pretty steep. How much would you pay to adopt the cat of a 3-time Cy Young winner?

VIDEO: Things get heated between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Markieff Morris

The Wizards and Bucks had some beef last year centering around Giannis Antetokounmpo running up the score during a December game in Milwaukee. With the Wizards at the Bucks on Monday, it didn't take long before things got heated with Antetokounmpo again.

Antetokounmpo started all of it, but the play resulted in Markieff Morris also getting a technical foul.

Watch the whole sequence here:

Antetokounmpo was the instigator, but Morris got a technical for apparently making contact when they confronted each other.

Regardless, this matchup just got more fun.
