Evgeny Kuznetsov struggled to score in the playoffs, but it didn't take him long to strike in the World Championships. Just in case you forgot how good he is after seeing him score only once in 12 playoff games, Kuznetsov's skill was on full display Saturday as Russia took on Switzerland.
Kuznetsov scored an absolutely unreal goal in the second period of his first game. Goalie Reto Berra stopped the initial shot, but Kuznetsov was able to tip the puck out of midair into the roof of the net. As great as that sounds, it's even more impressive when you see it in real time.
Not to be outdone, fellow Cap Dmitry Orlov put his mark on the game by sending Nino Niederreiter flying with a beautiful check as Niderreiter tried to cut inside on him.

Clearly the Caps needed to vent some frustration after their series against the Penguins.
Alex Ovechkin added an assist to what was a one-sided affair as Russia defeated Switzerland 5-1.
