Nationals star outfielder Bryce Harper had to be carried off the field in the bottom of the first injury after suffering what appeared to be a gruesome knee injury.
Harper, who was running out a ground ball to first base, slipped on the first base bag while trying to beat out Giants first baseman Ryder Jones.
Harper stayed down for several minutes, clutching his knee.
He was carried off by trainers.

The game had already been delayed for over an hour due to rain, which caused the first base bag to be wet.
Harper entered the game as one of the leading N.L. MVP candidates with 29 home runs and 87 RBI.
