After being selected to his fifth All-star game of his career, Bryce Harper quickly shut down any possibility of participating in the 2017 Home Run Derby.
However, in an interview with ESPN, Harper did reaffirm that he will be in the Home Run Derby next year.

The 2018 MLB All-star game will be held at Nationals Park which is a big reason why Harper explained he would be in the contest next season.
Back in 2015, Harper said that he would like to participate in the contest in front of the home crowd in D.C. Those views haven't seemed to change.
The Nats superstar has played in the Home Run Derby once in his career. In 2013, Harper bombed 24 home runs but fell short to Oakland's Yoenis Cespedes.
