Game 5 of the NL Division Series
Nats (2-2) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (2-2) at Nationals Park
Let's try this again. The Nationals fell in Game 4 on Chase Utley's go-ahead, eighth-inning single. Now they will attempt once more to clinch a berth in the NL Championship Series. This time, however, a loss means the end of their season.
Max Scherzer (0-1, 6.00) will be tasked to keep the Nationals alive in his second start of the series. He pitched Game 1 and allowed four runs across six innings of work.
Pitching for the Dodgers will be lefty Rich Hill (0-1, 8.31), who started Game 2. He lasted only 4 1/3 innings with four runs allowed. Both pitchers will hope to be better the second time around.
Jose Lobaton is back in at catcher, as the Nats hope he can continue to have success against Hill. Lobaton hit a three-run homer off the Dodgers starter in Game 2, his third career extra-base hit against him.
Bryce Harper is back in the two-hole with Jayson Werth behind him. Other than that, the lineup remains the same, including with Danny Espinosa in at shortstop.
