Here is what you need to know on this Friday, October 10, two days before the Washington Redskins go to Arizona to play the Cardinals.
Out—QB Robert Griffin III (ankle), S Ryan Clark (ankle), LB Brian Orakpo (ankle), CB Tracy Porter (hamstring), LB Perry Riley (knee)
Limited—OT Trent Williams (knee), TE Jordan Reed (hamstring)
Outlook—Riley seems to be in the most danger of missing the game; he was not looking very spy as he went through some agility drills. Clark and Orakpo are likely to find a way to get themselves out there. Porter is probably out and it seems likely that Reed will play for the first time since the season opener.
News you need to know
—It is looking more and more likely that rookie quarterback Logan Thomas will start for the Cardinals. Starter Carson Palmer (shoulder) and backup Drew Stanton (concussion) were both limited in practice today.
—Robert Griffin III participated in the early part of practice on Thursday and looked good, although there still is no timetable for his return, according to Jay Gruden. (see some quick video of him moving around here)
—It looks like Will Compton will start at Jack linebacker if Perry Riley is sidelined due to injury.
—Akeem Davis, released from the 53-man roster earlier this week, was signed to the practice squad.
—Gruden on preparing for three different quarterbacks: ““It really doesn’t matter. It is not like one of them is – you’re not comparing Michael Vick or Robert Griffin III to Aaron Rodgers. They are all similar-type quarterbacks and they are going to run a similar-type game plan. So I think we are preparing for the offense that we see on tape, whoever the quarterback is.”
—Gruden said that you have to be careful of having your defense try too hard to get takeaways: “Yeah, you can’t force the issue. That’s something you can’t do. All you can do is preach pursuit, hustle and effort and that’s what we’ve got to do. Just continue to fly to the ball and the turnovers will come.”
—Today’s schedule: Practice 11:10; Open locker room and Jay Gruden news conference after practice (approx. 12:45)
—Days until: Redskins @ Cardinals 2; Titans @ Redskins 6; Monday night Redskins @ Cowboys 17

Tweet of the day
Akeem Davis back for his second stint on the #Redskins practice squad. Something tells me he’ll end up back on the 53 before end of the year
