DeSean Jackson missed at least his second OTA session on Tuesday, and reaction from fans has been mixed. Some seem genuinely mad Jackson would miss the voluntary workouts, while others say it's not a big deal. Jackson made clear he doesn't care about the reaction to his absence, and it seems his coaches don't mind much either.
"DeSean had some other issues that he’s had to take care of and we understand that," offensive coordinator Sean McVay said Tuesday. "We know when training camp rolls around, he’ll be ready to go and he’s a guy that we can consistently count on on game day, the way that he was able to perform last year and over the course of his career."
Jay Gruden has expressed similar sentiment as McVay, and players off the record have echoed the sentiment. Jackson has a lot going on - especially with the launch of his new reality show - and the team seems to be understanding. But what about the timing between WRs and QBs that always gets talked about?
"Certainly you want to be able to get all the work that you can, but there’s certain circumstances and things that come up that guys have to take care of and we’re confident that we’ll be able to make up for that when we get to training camp," McVay said.
So Gruden and McVay don't seem to mind, should fans still mind that DeSean misses OTAs? Let us know what you think in the comments.
