The Redskins have struggled in two games so far this season, losing both at home and looking disheveled at times in each loss. Despite the struggles, however, $75 million free agent signee Josh Norman has played well for the 'Skins, forcing a fumble Sunday against the Cowboys and playing ballhawk defense.
In the locker room following Sunday's loss to the Cowboys, Norman dealt with a lot - including an NFL mandated drug test - but most of all he seemed ready to turn the page. For the Redskins, that means getting to Week 3 and facing the Giants in New York. For Norman, that means another date with Giants wideout Odell Beckham, a challenge the cornerback will not back down from.
"I get excited for these games," Norman said of traveling to New York. "Absolutely."

Albeit brief, the history between Norman and Beckham needs little background. Matched up last season, the duo repeatedly got physical with one another, resulting in a number of unsportsmanlike penalties before Norman's Carolina squad emerged with a late victory. This offseason, the rhetoric between Beckham and Norman heated up, and on Sunday in the Meadowlands, the Giants will enter with a 2-0 record while the 'Skins come in limping at 0-2.
"Send all the haters my way, I appreciate it," Norman said (full video above). "I use that as fuel to my fire."
In two games this season, Beckham has 12 catches for more than 150 yards though no trips to the end zone. In two games for Norman, the corner has 11 tackles, one forced fumble and five passes defensed.
Clearly not ready to give up on the Redskins season - smartly considering the team has only played two games - Norman said that he will continue to work on his game to improve and get wins.
"When you’re back against the wall, it's just you, are you going to come out and fight," Norman said. "I'm coming out scratching every time."
