Josh Norman has made himself at home here in Washington D.C. in just over a full year. Norman has embraced the community and is deciding to give back.
On Tuesday, nearly 100 guests attended the kickoff of Norman's new foundation "Starz24" to help support the local community.
The event helped raise more than $30,000, which will go directly toward a back to school program that will provide backpacks and school supplies for young children in need.
“I am excited to bring my foundation to DC—it is important to support the community that supports me,” Josh Norman said according to the Starz24 press release.

“There is a lot of need in our community and I’m here to help make sure that kids have resources and the motivation to excel in school and life.”
The Starz24 foundation is focused on fitness and teamwork for children, providing events and programs throughout the community that help the youth develop interpersonal skills and awareness of the world.
“Now that I’ve set my roots in DC, I’m ready to be a voice of motivation, empowerment, and encouragement to young people, here,” explained Norman in the press release. “It’s important for these kids to know that focus, hard work, and dedication pay off.”
It is nice to see star athletes such as Norman who are willing to contribute and help create foundations to better the area.
