Last Friday, during the Redskins bye week, Pierre Garçon appeared on ESPN's "First Take," where he was grilled by Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith on numerous things, including Robert Griffin III's standing in the team's locker room, whether he thinks he's getting the ball enough and if he believes Washington is the cream of the crop in the NFC East. The veteran receiver was on the hot seat throughout his time on the show, but that's a normal feeling for guests of Bayless and Smith, both of whom certainly put the "talking" in the phrase "talking heads."
One of the segment's most interesting questions, though, came when Smith asked Garçon, "If you could have one guy throwing you the football, outside of the quarterbacks that you have, who would it be?" #88's answer? A two-time MVP and one-time Super Bowl champion.
"I'm going with Aaron Rodgers," he said. "I love the way he throws, I love the way he plays, I love the way he sits in the pocket. He's always looking to throw, he's not looking to run...Aaron Rodgers is probably the best passer in the league."
Smith seemed to agree with Garçon's choice, but Bayless certainly didn't.
"Timeout, timeout, timeout!" Bayless said. "Wait a second...Did I just hear Pierre say that Aaron Rodgers is better than Tom Brady? Is that what you just said?"
"Aaron Rodgers throws the ball better than Tom Brady," Garçon responded. "The best passer in the league. Tom Brady makes plays, Tom Brady wins games, but Aaron Rodgers is the best thrower in the league."
Bayless then asked the pass catcher, "Who is your next opponent?" to which Garçon answered, "New England Patriots, we're looking forward to it." "That just went up on the bulletin board," Bayless fired back. "You just provoked psycho Tom...Tom Brady watches this show. Tom Brady will be all over that quote."
However, hoping that Brady was tuned into the program must not have been enough for Bayless, because on Sunday, he tweeted about the exchange in an attempt to make sure the Patriots are aware of Garçon's claim:
Hey, Patriots: On Friday's First Take, Pierre Garcon said Aaron Rodgers is better than TOM BRADY. Next up: Redskins at Patriots.

Some may call Bayless a tattle-tale for trying to get Garçon in trouble with Brady and the Pats, but stirring the pot is standard operating procedure for the commentator. We'll have to wait until this Sunday to see if Brady plays with a little extra motivation in the wake of Garçon's fairly subdued comments.
